This metal beater bar replacement kit is used on systems with a preexisting metal beater bar. Don’t use this product to replace a plastic beater bar.
If the intention is to replace a plastic beater bar with this metal beater bar replacement kit, it is advised to not do it. The reason is that all components used with the plastic beater bar are incompatible with the metal beater bar assembly, including the faceplate. To modify your unit to use the metal beater bar requires using the full upgrade kit (OEM # 629098077).
