Part # 1051231-02 was last listed in the 07/31/2018 part manual. There is no indication as to at what point it was replaced by 9151152-101 (R404-R449) (This part shows as a replacement and is listed in 2021, 2023, & 2025 parts manuals).
More TXV kits were later added for the R449 models, 9151204-101 and 9151212-101. Presently, although confusing, part # 1051231-02 is still identified as active and available. It’s likely the component is specific to CIM0826/1126/0836/1136/1137 models as it relates to a range of revisions during that period (there’s simply no explanation or direction provided by Ice-O-Matic on this matter). Since many of those models are still in service, this component is likely available for that purpose.
The TXV (1051231-02) as depicted in the product picture doesn’t look like a kit (unless the added brass tube counts). However, the manufacturer’s product description defines it as such.
