This notice describes our Privacy Policy. By visiting our site, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
What Personal Information About Customers Do We Gather?
Here are the types of information we gather.
- Information You Give Us: We store information on our online server as it relates to data provided by you when creating an account. All data that you impart is encrypted and secured. Additionally, any payment information entered (VISA or MasterCard) is not seen by us nor stored on our system. This transaction data is tokenized and electronically transferred to our financial institution to process payments.
- Overall, your account information is essential for internal processing, shipping orders, and managing payment. You can choose not to provide certain information, but without vital account information, we won’t be capable of processing orders and/or establishing communication.
- Automatic Information: Our website does automatically receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with it. For your convenience and to provide a better user experience, we implement “cookies.” This is used to obtain certain types of information when your web browser accesses our website (see the next topic).
What About Cookies?
- Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser to enable our system to recognize your browser to provide certain features, and to allow storage of items in your shopping cart between visits.
- The Help portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to prevent a browser from accepting new cookies, how to notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether.
Do We Share the Information We Receive?
We share information as described below.
- Businesses and Individuals: In the scheme of things, we don’t share your information with unrelated third parties. Thus, there is no requirement for an opt out button or related feature. However, there are business related exceptions, we have third party relationships with manufacturers, vendors, and dealer partnerships. On rare occasions where we must promptly fulfill an order, our only viable option would be to drop-ship to your location. In these instances, we must share your name and shipping address information to fulfill your order. Additionally, we often receive equipment sales requests through our online portal or by email. As a master distributor with an established dealer network, we are obliged to forward your contact information to a local dealership to provide customer service or equipment quotes. A respective dealer in your local area can offer better service and can often install the equipment and provide local service. In these instances, we do share your contact information and details of your request. Keep in mind, a dealer is a representative and basically an extension of us. We work as a partnership with our dealer to provide ice and beverage dispensing solutions to all customers.
- Third-Party Service Providers: In addition to being a master distributor, we have an internal service department for specialty installations and local service requests, but we are only capable of serving our local community and can’t be everywhere. As such, we often employ other companies or individuals in your local area to perform service functions on our behalf. In these instances, we only provide the necessary personal information needed for them to perform their function and to honor your request.
- Our Protection and Protection of Others: We will release account data and other personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law; enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other agreements; or protect our rights, property, or safety and those of our users, and others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
How Secure is Information About Me?
- Your information is protected during transmission by Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts the information you input.
- Only the last four digits of your credit card numbers are revealed when confirming an order. Of course, the entire credit card number is transmitted to the appropriate credit card company during order processing. Credit card information is never accessible, stored, or recorded by us. In most cases, everything on our website is automated and done electronically. Only your contact data is accessible by us via your online store account.
- It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when you have finished using a shared computer.
Which Information Can I Access?
- We give you access to information about your account and your interactions with us for the limited purpose of viewing and updating that information.
What Choices Do I Have?
- As discussed above, you can always choose not to provide information, even though it might be needed to make a purchase or to take advantage of certain features. Please keep in mind that providing limited to no information on your part equates to limited to no interaction on our part.
- You can add or update certain information on pages such as those referenced in the “Which Information Can I Access?” section. When you update information, a copy of the prior version may be kept for our records.
- The Help portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether.
