Per Scotsman Service Bulletin PS-10-2025, component # A42077-001 (IOM # 1011448-106) is replaced by this part. The reason: Sonar ice detection technology proved to be unreliable as it caused the ice bin to overfill.
Due to the issue, a new part was engineered to solve the problem.
Although the problem only affected units manufactured between July 2025 and October 2025, it is suggested to use this component for GEMU090 or SCN60 models regardless of manufacturing date.
Note regarding the Ice-O-Matic part number: We are unsure why IOM used the Scotsman model number (SCN60) as the part number for this component.
