ICE-O-Matic FAST AGENT Program
FAST stands for "Factory Authorized Service Team".
An "Elite" FAST company performs direct warranty service for
Ice-O-Matic. They operate with a stated goal of 6 hour
response time, 24 hour repair with an accuracy level of 95%. Elite
FAST agents have several qualifications that they must meet to be
considered as an Elite FAST Agent. They operate under a
service agreement with IOM, maintain an inventory of IOM parts on
service vehicles, must be insured or bonded, and attend IOM training
schools. Elite FAST agents will often be called upon to
provide service for chain accounts and other contracted accounts.
Elite FAST agents should maintain an active account with the local
distributor and the account with the distributor must remain in good
standing. Please contact Ice-O-Matic technical service
department for more details and interests to participate in this
program. They will provide you with the information and
benefits for becoming an Elite FAST agent.
A "Standard" FAST company is a service company, trained in the
repair of Ice-O-Matic ice machines, and registered with IOM.
These companies are the secondary companies that provide warranty
service. FAST companies may also file warranty labor claims
directly through the factory but are not under a contract.
Some of the requirements as a standard FAST agent are providing 24hr
emergency service, must be insured or bonded, attend IOM service
schools within a 2-yr period and maintain an account with a local
IOM distributor. Please contact Ice-O-Matic technical service
department for more details and interest in joining the program.
If you become a FAST agent, please notify Gulf Ice Systems, so we
can put you in our database and upgrade your agent status.
STATE of FLORIDA AND ALABAMA - Gulf Ice Systems,
Inc. maintains several State contracts for Ice-O-Matic ice makers.
As a registered FAST agent or GIS Master Agent, we will call upon
you to provide service to these customers or agencies. This can
often lead to other refrigeration work and maintenance contracts
between you and the end-user. Providing service to these
customers could be a benefit to your company if it leads to a
maintenance agreement between you and the end-user.
Master Service Agent Program
Gulf Ice Systems, Inc.
maintains an extensive database of service agents. Many of these
agents are classified as Master Service Agent. We developed
this program to track qualified service agents and
provide coverage within our territory and sales areas. If you
are interested in being called upon to provide service, please fill
out the online MSA form and send your information, or print it out and either fax or mail it to our Warranty
Department. A link is provided below. The MSA
program is not limited to just Ice-O-Matic as we carry a full line
of beverage equipment and Ice makers for other manufacturers.
As a Master Service Agent for Gulf Ice Systems, we will notify
your company of Ice-O-Matic service schools, and place your company
as a preferred service agent for any service and installations in
your area of coverage.
This program is not a contract. By accepting to become a MSA, you
are notifying us that you wish to provide service within your area
of coverage. This
program doesn't establish any territorial boundaries between service
companies. This program establishes your company as a sub-contracted
representative of Gulf Ice Systems, Inc. for service and installations
and preferred customer referral for maintenance contracts and related
services.
There are requirements which must be met before your company can
be considered for the MSA Program. The workers compensation laws in Florida
requires persons contracting work maintain certificates of insurance
showing that the sub-contractor is insured for liability and workers
compensation coverage. Due to these requirements by the State of
Florida, we require that you provide us with a certificate of insurance
showing commercial liability and workers compensation coverage.
Failure to provide this material will result in taking your company
out of the GIS Service Network for contracted services and installations
(You must be insured for liability and workers compensation).
